espressos and exotic chocs

Friday morning CBD – starts at 9.45am

"Black as the devil, hot as hell, pure as an angel, sweet as love."
(The perfect recipe for coffee, according to French statesman Talleyrand 1754-1838)

Crazy about coffee? This is the tour for you - it contains the most caffeine! But chocolate lovers will not be disappointed, there’s plenty of your favourite food!

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the tour on Friday. It was exceptional value and our guide Désirée was wonderful and interesting. She is a lovely person and could not have been nicer. We will recommend the tour!

This tour kicks off with coffee where the beans first grew in Australia. While you sip your coffee of choice you'll discuss the origins of the coffee bean and its transformation into our particular coffee preference. And learn where the world's first coffee shop was located.

Just a note to say how much we enjoyed the tour last Friday morning. The guide was so informative and friendly, ensuring us all of a splendid morning.

A walk past many historic landmarks follows as you make our way to the tour's first chocolate stop. Now it's time to talk and - more importantly! - taste the finest chocolate while learning about its progression from the rainforest to the retailer.

I just wanted to let you know the tour yesterday was absolutely fabulous and totally exceeded my expectations!! I knew it was going to be great but it was so much more!! We had such a ball - I actually felt like I was on an overseas holiday touring a city and taking in the history of the place - and yet it was Sydney!! The guide was amazing and did such a great job of conducting the tour and making it even more wonderful. I am extremely grateful for your flexibility and allowing us to choose a better time for us to do the tour. To miss out on this opportunity would have been so disappointing. I loved it so much I am now thinking of people who I can give this experience to for Christmas or special occasions.

Two more chocolate encounters are still to come but next you'll visit a hidden espresso bar where the barista demonstrates the perfect espresso and the difference between a mocha and a macchiato! Then his skills and expertise are put to the test when you select your coffee of choice to enjoy en route to the next chocolate destination.

Enjoy chocolates handmade in Sydney by some clever and creative chocolatiers while you learn -- and taste! -- how chocolate melts in the mouth.

This coffee and chocolate trail of discovery finally concludes in the lap of luxury at one of Sydney's best hotels. Sit back, relax and enjoy your final caffeine hit!

We recently took the espressos and exotic chocs tour and enjoyed it enormously. It introduced us to many new chocolate haunts in the city, and we really appreciated all of Shelagh's coffee and chocolate-bean info. I have already recommended the tour to quite a few friends and will continue to do so!
