This walking tour of delightful Darlinghurst is an intense indulgence for chocolate connoisseurs
This afternoon stroll through the streets and lanes of Darlinghurst introduces you to two exceptional and avant garde artisan chocolate shops. The chocolate experience on this tour is not for the faint-hearted, connoisseurs will be in their true element!
At the first chocolate shop you will meet the chocolatiers and, while sipping a delectable and decadent hot chocolate, learn about how cocoa becomes chocolate or, as the experts say, the process "from bean to bar". You'll watch chocolate making techniques such as the intriguing and spectacular marble tempering and hear how complex flavours are combined to provide a unique tasting experience. The culmination of this experience is to taste the "edible jewels" which they have created.
You'll have the opportunity to counteract your chocolate consumption with seriously good coffee at a café on a street with a shady past. And learn about some of the lawbreakers and larrikins who used to frequent the area.
Before the second chocolate experience of the tour, pique your palate with gorgeous gelati from a shop which sets the benchmark for gelato and sorbet in Sydney.
You'll complete this intense indulgence tour at an intimate and luxurious salon where the owner will explain his chocolate philosophy while you explore the realms of chocolate richness.

Crazy about coffee? This is the tour for you - it contains the most
caffeine!
This tour kicks off with coffee where the beans first grew in Australia. While we sip our coffee of choice we
discuss the origins of the coffee bean and its transformation into our particular coffee preference. And learn where the
world's first coffee shop was located.
A walk past many historic landmarks follows as we make our way to the tour's first chocolate stop. Now it's time
to talk and - more importantly! - taste the finest chocolate while we learn about its progression from the rainforest to the
retailer.
Two more chocolate encounters are still to come but next we visit a hidden espresso bar where the barista
demonstrates the perfect espresso and the difference between a mocha and a macchiato! Then we put his skills and expertise
to the test by selecting our coffee of choice to enjoy en route to our next chocolate destination.
Enjoy chocolates handmade in Sydney by some clever and creative chocolatiers while we learn -- and taste! -- how chocolate melts in the mouth.
This coffee and chocolate trail of discovery finally concludes in the lap of luxury at one of Sydney's best hotels. Sit back, relax and enjoy your final caffeine hit!
